Hialeah police hunts for couple who took woman's Rolex in lottery-ticket scheme

Observe say they are looking for a man and a woman who ran away with a Rolex watch after it was given to them as collateral for a supposed winning raffle ticket.

The incident occurred April 28 outside the Target cache at 1750 W. 37th St., police said. The suspects are being sought in connection with several other tombola-related crimes across Miami-Dade County, according to police.

The female fool was approached by a man and a woman who asked her for help cashing a winning lottery ticket.

The thieves said they could not lolly the ticket themselves because they were illegal immigrants, police said.

They asked the victim for collateral while she cashed the ticket, and she gave them her Rolex watch, according to the Old Bill.

While the victim was distracted, the suspects fled with her watch.
