Q: Wholesome set of numbers coming in both on the top-line and on the bottom-line. Can you take us through the numbers Rs 3,290 crore on the returns front and Rs 529 crore on the bottom-line? How the margins have done as well?

A: The Q4 has been rather good, in fact it’s the best place in our history. The total turnover is Rs 3,440 crore for the quarter which is about 80% up. In terms of sales, motorcycles were up almost 100%, three-wheelers and exports were up about 50%. So, all the verticals have grown nicely.

In stint of profit before tax, it’s about Rs 740 crore and this is after the Rs 45 crore which is towards the VRS (Voluntary Retirement Dodge) and this was the last quarter in which we have to pay the VRS. So, the profit before tax is almost Rs 800 crore and the profit after tax is Rs 530 crore.
