KINGSTON - Everything might stand still in Jeff Shimp's Richard Street workshop - but not for very long.

His watchmaker's bench and cabinets restrict an assortment of timepieces, from a mid-1800s silver fusee pocket watch to an asymmetrical Hamilton Ventura, the first stimulating watch - and the model Elvis sported in the 1961 movie "Sad Hawaii."

And Shimp knows what makes them all tick.
