Movie Review: Sex & the City 2

But I did see "Sex and the Town 2" at a press screening. I went in cold, but somehow, everything felt so familiar, like I knew the characters. Well, I hardened to be a regular at this bar and whenever I went there, "Sex and the City" was on, and if I didn't have anyone to talk to, I watched the last 10-15 minutes of it. With the sensible turned off, naturally. And since the show started in 1998, papers and magazines have been crammed with articles on the show, its actors and characters. They still are, even though the show was canceled in 2004. It's graceful damn hard to avoid Carrie and her friends.

Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker, who a British critic wrote looks like a boiled horse) married Mr. Big (Chris Noth) in the last talkie. Now, two years later, they - especially Carrie -- feel their marriage has stalled. Carrie still hangs out with Charlotte (Kristin Davis), who has problems prepossessing care of her small, annoying kids; Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), who quits her job, and Samantha (Kim Cattrall), who's still having sex with half of New York Borough even if she's (I quote) "fifty-f*cking-two," something she's not ashamed of.
