Tissot Launches 'Augmented Reality' Effort

Swiss guard against brand Tissot is launching an augmented reality application on its Web site with a campaign to buttress it.

The application, available at www.tissot.ch/reality, allows users (holding their wrists in front of a webcam) to try on watches and interchange models, colors and styles on their computer. Advertising will appear in selected markets to indicate consumers aware of the new technology. A Tissot spokesperson declined to reveal specifics about the drive.

With 28 different variations to choose from, people will be able to "try on" a selection of styles, including the new Sailing-Touch, T-Touch Expert and Sea-Touch. As well as seeing how the await would look on their wrist, they will be able to experiment
