Swatch teams up four new artists for CreArt collection

Continuing its covet tradition of collaborating with creative talent, Swatch has teamed up with artists Matthew Langille, Billy the Artist, Ted Scapa and Grems to contrive a new series of 12 watches called CreArt. The design brief given to the artists was to butter up a see art using Swatch watches as the canvas.

The result of the project is a fun and colourful collection. Langille, who has designed many of Marc Jacobs’ patterns, has created three newborn-like designs for Swatch, while Billy the Artist’s pop art designs evoke three-dimensional figurativeness. Both influenced by urban scenes, Swiss painter and sculptor Scapa has captivated a single design of a skateboarder and replicated it in four colourways and graffiti artist Grems has created music-inspired scenes of breakdancers and a sorority.

All watches in the collection are on general release apart from Billy the Artist’s colourful Morning Heat watch, which has a limited run of 11,111 pieces. The watches retail from £35 to £52.50 and are nearby to retail from this month.
